CREATE NONCREATABLE FOLDERS IN WINDOWS:

Post  Admin on Thu Aug 07, 2008 1:32 am

Well, some of you might have noticed that creating a folder name from the following words is forbidden BECAUSE Bil Gates Says!!:-)

The Folders are: CON, AUX, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, PRN, NUL

each one of these means something in the windows thats why u cant create them.
anyways if u wanna create it ... read below.. it's so simple.

We can do this by following method:

1) Goto command prompt... Start >> Run >> type Cmd

2) Type in: mkdir \\.\c:\con (or any of the words above)

To Verify.

3) verify by typing: dir \\.\c:\con (or check the folder where u create it)

To Remove.

4)delete the file or folder by typing: rmdir \\.\c:\con

and you are done. Enjoy and show off infront of people they dont know the trick heheh.
